After such good day out sketching in London at the start of the month, Me and Hong thought we'd finish the month out sketching again. This time somewhere more local.
Along with other artists Vincent Ball, and Rob Davis, Me and Hong set out to the river Stort in Harlow with our pens and paper, plus a flask of tea.

We started off at the Moorhen Marina with a 10 minute warm up sketch of the boats.
We all stopped of at several spots along the river to capture the views, we each took a different angle to capture it in our own way. In the image above you can see I've drawn in Vince, on the other side of the lock.
The view of the glass factory is one I really wanted to draw for a long time as it is an important asset, and holds a lot of history to Harlow as a post war new town with a booming Industry. It is also the reason both my grandparents moved to work in Harlow.
We finished off with a 25 minute sketch of the famous Zig-Zag bridge, which I was also keen to draw.
I think we all made progress though out the day in our sketching. The timing also makes good practice, we'll definitely do it again some time.
